Toppers
Today, we went to the new location on the Channel Islands Harbor. It's an awesome location. There was fog and marine layer, but the Toppers sign shined bright. It was Friday night, it was the beginning of a long weekend, and for whatever reason, the place was PACKED. We got lucky and found two booths for ten people.
There were only two soda machines for the entire restaurant. The lines for each got pretty long. But behold, the future of soft drink dispensing:
They are pretty gnarly machines. With the touchscreen menu, you first select which brand you would like.
From there, you have different flavors from which to choose.
We're talking vanilla, orange, lime, and cherry Coke.
strawberry, rasperry, cherry Lemonade,
grape and peach Sprite,
and many more!
Of course, you could make these flavors with a regular dispenser by mixing the flavors yourself, without the long line, but technology makes it so much easier...
For desert, a freshly baked cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. They call it a Pookie. I think Maureen named it, haha. There's only one flavor, and the cookie comes with nuts. Pizookies from BJ's are better.

When In Rome

There was some sort of concert at Hollywood and Highland by a group called X Japan. It turns out it wasn't just a concert; they were filming music videos.
Before the movie, we went to the Disney Soda Shoppe next door. We got the Black and White Sundae. They were out of cherries, but the marshmallow sauce was bomb!
The movie was super cute. Very feel-good comedy. Josh Duhmel is so cute! I did not realize Jon Heder was in the movie. He rocked. I totally reccommend it. Boyfriends won't hate it and you can watch it with the whole family.

THLAWS09
My little brother is way into it. He got me and my older brother into it as well. They held their warehouse sale last weekend, and we went on day 2.
We made the blog entry "Tales from the Sale"

Dude on the right (with his bro and sis) parked in my space, then had the nerve to call me out on Twitter for blocking him in! But it’s the Holidays, all is forgiven.
I'm "sis"! It's pretty sick. I was stoked to make the blog, I'm not gonna lie.
What the blog doesn't know is that we camped out at 8pm the night before. The warehouse is in Downtown LA. The lights from the Nokia Live were taunting me, for the Jonas Brothers were performing at Stevie Wonder's concert. It rained on and off all night, at times, really hard. It was cold. I couldn't rough it out like Erik. I slept in the car.
It's all good. It was a great bonding experience for me and my brothers. I also tried the new BBQ dish at Yoshinoya and the McRib. The sun came out the next day in time for the sale.
We spent about an hour inside shopping. They played awesome 80s music. We decided to make it an annual thing. Until next year. Hopefully we'll make it to the first drop.

That's a small?
They don't serve soda.
They have shaved ice, smoothies, and tea.
They also have fried rice and popcorn chicken.
The menu says the Small was good for 2.
It's really good for 6.
