She did it! Here We Go Again debuts at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
Lucky for Demi, they're not charting Michael Jackson albums, since they're not new.
Jordin debuted at #7.

1iota is
I'd say the R word, but that may be to strong. They gave me tickets last season (not every week), so I just need to figure out how their system works.
But everyone else who put their ethnicity as White or Black got tickets 2 weeks ago! Then again, they only requested 2 tickets each. *Sigh* and if it is because THEY recorded my attendance to a couple shows incorrectly, then that just makes me angry.
But here are tips when requesting tickets on 1iota.com:
-Provide a photo.
-Put that you're black or white. They tend to get tickets first.
-Lower amounts of tickets requested have better chances.
At least I have friends who are willing to take me as their guest =]
*edit*
So I changed nothing about my ethnicity and still requested 3 tickets for the second ABDC show, and I got tickets right away. Just when you think you have it figured out, they change on you. xD Or maybe they saw this blog? o_O

No Band in a Bus
At approximately 5:20pm PDT, I was driving on the 118 freeway and saw the Gibson tour bus the Jonas Brothers used during the Best of Both Worlds tour to record part of A Little Bit Longer. I was going west. It was going east.
Random!
I'll take that as sign number 2.
First sign: Joe and Camilla break up 2 weeks before my concert.
Let the thrid sign be: a call from Team Jonas saying I've won a meet and greet.
OR
Let me get foamed during "Live to Party"!

The Time Traveler's Wife
I saw the trailer on TV last week, and it looked like the Lake House meets the Notebook.
I love Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana (he was so hot in Troy!).
I decided to read the book.
Nicholas Sparks, eat your heart out.
I've always been intrigued with the concept of time travel.
Here are my takes on it:
-It is a continuum.
-Some things are meant to happen. God has a plan. Therefore, if you somehow had the ability to go back and change things, it wouldn't change much. Whatever was supposed to happen will happen, if only in a different way. (See If Only starring Jennifer Love Hewitt)
-The number 8 goes with it. [Clare and Henry are 8 years apart. The DeLorean in Back to the Future had to be at 88 to travel back.]
I could get more into it, but I should get back to the novel. To have genes that allow you to randomly travel through time is a scary concept. Henry can't control when he leaves or where he goes. He meets Claire when he is 28. Claire meets Henry when she is 6. They were meant to be together. It's a very passionate love ;] It's in first-person narrative from both Claire and Henry. You need to pay attention to the dates and ages given, or it gets confusing. If they're 8 years apart, then it's present time. Also, there's a bit of French in the book. I got to put my 3 years of high school French to use!
As I watched the trailer after reading the book, there were subtle differences. The proposal isn't like the story. While reading the book, I was more interested when Henry traveled. The film probably expresses Clare's struggle in longing and waiting more thoroughly than in the book, which makes sense. It is called the Time Traveler's WIFE. Still, I'm thinking it's pretty close.
So I'm excited for that movie. I'd choose to watch it over Band Slam. Then again, Band Slam has a sneak peak at New Moon. But what if it's the same clips shown at ComicCon that I have already watched on YouTube?

Guilty Pleasure
So it took me a while to listen to the whole album. There are 14 tracks plus 6 lingering bonus tracks.
Originally, the album was supposed to be released June 16th, but you know she didn't want to compete with the Jonas Brothers. But then, they delayed it over a month? That wasn't smart. I get that it coincides with the release of her new film, but Aliens in the Attic doesn't look like a box office smash. Then again, stranger things have happened.
My definite favorite song off the album is Masquerade. It stuck with me when I saw her perform at the Grove. Hair, Me Without You and Delete You are good ones too. Overall, the album's got that pop-urban vibe that you can dance to.
Ashley co-wrote 5 songs. I wonder if any were Jared-inspired. She did not write It's Alright, It's OK. So don't even think it ;]
Hopefully, if she has another show in LA, she'll also sing songs from Headstrong. She didn't do that at the Grove =/

Memory Cards
Once I made the transition from disposable to digital cameras, my collection of photos increased exponentially. The mass amount of photos slowed down my hardrive, so I would burn them onto CDs to preserve them.
What I should have done was save them onto memory cards or flash drives. They became really cheap, and are clearly a better way to save your data.
Why? Discs get scratched and become unreadable to computers. Plus, they spin so fast and get so hot, I worry about my computer.
So let that be the lesson of the day. It's 2009, if you want your pictures to last until 2019, better save them on a secure media. And do it often, just in case your computer crashes.

Teen Choice Awards Voting
I just realized this is my last year to be eligible to vote for the TCAs. Age. Eck.
There are a lot of categories. Do we really need to vote for favorite celebrity pet or celebrity dancer? I don't think celebrity baby is appropriate. But I did vote for Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. It's the first year Jessica isn't nominated for choice hottie. Hopefully, Megan Fox will get her chance to shine. Jonas Brothers have a lot of nominations. They're not going to win them all. I'll be surprised if they get away with half of them. If they do, it's only because they're hosting. I'm pretty sure they'll get the TCA for their duet with Miley. It's a very oooh moment to capture on TV. But so would JB sharing the stage with Taylor Swift (!)
Voting doesn't matter to much. There are 5 nominees to vote for. The producers choose the winner from the 4 nominees with the most votes. So all we do is eliminate one nominee. You can see how they can select Glee over Jonas for breakout show, even if Jonas gets more votes (not that it's the best show in the world. I love JB, but they could have done better. They could have kept the spy concept!).
I'm pulling for each of the tween queens. Miley, Miranda, Selena, Demi, Jenny, and Emily. Perhaps they could all at least take one TCA home? At least the first 4.
Twilight has to triumph in all of their categories. Like, yeah. HSM will win. Zac will win a few. I would like Harry Potter to beat Transformers and The Proposal and Ryan Reynolds to get a nod. Okay I've spent too much time talking about it now.
My JB concert is after they film the TCAs. I doubt I'd win a M&G, but they'll probably be really tired anyway.

Demi Lovato - Here We Go Again
Sophomore albums by Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks are now in stores. Demi opened for the Jonas Brothers' Burning Up tour last summer, and Jordin opens JB's world tour this summer.
I voted for Jordin to win over Blake, but I am more of a Demi fan. If I were torn between which album to purchase, I would go with Demi. Here We Go Again was $2 cheaper than Battlefield at WalMart. We'll see who ranks higher on next week's Billboard 200.
When I first saw both artists for the first time, I was only vaguely familiar with their songs. Demi wins this round again, for her rocking set (7/12/08 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, Irvine, CA) was filled with high energy and I loved the songs. But perhaps I was a bit biased as I did enjoy her performance in Camp Rock. I saw Jordin when she went on tour with Jesse McCartney (8/7/08 Orpheum, Los Angeles, CA). She used up all the songs of hers that I knew 3 songs into the set. From then on it felt like I was watching American Idol, with not much movement, just singing. Her voice is amazing and I really loved the way she waved and acknowledged her fans in the audience, but she could have added something more to the performance.
In a radio interview, Demi mentioned that she took somewhere around a month to write the album, and 2 weeks to record. That seemed like a very rushed time frame, and it probably was since there were a few track listing changes. I love her single "Here We Go Again." It would have been awesome if I had been one of the select to be in the music video, but what can you do xD? Don't think I didn't catch the Twilight reference in "Solo," Miss Lovato! Good Job :-)! In comparison to her last album, Here We Go Again is more edgy, which is expected as Demi has grown in the past year. There aren't any anthems like "La La Land" and "Party", unless you count the Sonny With a Chance theme song "So Far So Great."
Go check it out, people!
