L.A., L.A. BABY

Today I watched the Jonas Brothers free show at the Grove. But remember, there is no such thing as a free show. You pay with the HOURS you spend waiting. I figured I would leave my house between 9 and 10, no rush. At 9, I look at twitter, and there are 500 people there already? Must leave NOW.
I got to the Grove about 10:30. It was promising, since the parking lot was not full. The security guard said there were about 7,000 people in front of me. Seven THOUSAND? Whoa! Apparently, the Grove has a 20,000 capacity. That number was far too large!
Camp Rock Kite!
I met really nice people in line. All together, we were about twelve. This came in handy because around 1pm, the line started moving. However, it was a hectic mess. I nicknamed it a Jonas dash. While in line, someone flew a Camp Rock kite =O
Finally, around 2:15pm, we were going to be let in. It started at a slow, peaceful pace. Then, we started running. This video shows the BIG picture:

There was more waiting, warm weather, and packed bodies. The emcee gave away Jonas Brothers erasers, notebooks, dvds, and Dodger tickets! JB was in the second level window of the Quicksilver Store. They waved at the crowd briefly. The Wonder Girls opened and sang three songs. They were filming the audience for a show. I'm not sure which.

Jonas Brothers opened their set with "L.A. Baby" from the second season of their show. I was hoping they would play this! It sounds like an upbeat version of "Fly With Me." I heard the new JONAS L.A. has better writing. I'm looking forward to it. Next was "Year 3000" and "Play My Music." Everyone around me was singing along with all their heart. They slowed things down with "When You Look Me in the Eyes" and "LoveBug." They ended with "SOS" and "Burning Up." Big Rob came out and did his rap. Someone threw Joe a Kobe-24 jersey. he wore it for the rest of the show.

Daniel FathersThat brings the song count to 7. That was my guess when we discussed it in line (I win). It was very chaotic trying to get out of the concert area. I headed to the left. I'm glad I did because I saw Daniel Fathers -- Uncle Brown from Camp Rock! He was really nice and I got a picture. At the bridge, I could see a crowd for Honor Society. I was waiting for the area to clear out so I could get to Surf City. There was no need because security was escorting them out of the area. But it wasn't just Honor Society. A bunch of celebs were leaving, and I was in the exit path. So, I was able to ask for pictures!!! Hooray for me for not failing on taking pictures of myself!

Malese Jow
Malese Jow from Vampire Diaries
Team Anna! I confess, I knew she'd be there (Twitter) and I was really hoping to meet her.

Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars
She is pretty and little! I don't know about the liar part.

The gentlemen of Honor Society.
Okay, I partially failed on one picture.

Steve McQueenSteve McQueen from Vampire Diares
He said hi, but didn't stop for my picture. So I had to take my own actions! He's so cute!

Mind you, all those pictures were taken consecutively in less than 5 minutes. I get to put check marks on my Summer list. I got my Watermelon-Strawberry chiller so that I could wait for traffic to die down. Jack, Ryan, Garbo, and John were walking towards the valet. I almost went after them, but I had to wait for my drink. Grrr..

When I got in the car, "L.A. Baby" was playing on Radio Disney. Immediately after was "Give Love a Try." Yay for Jonas Brothers! I'm still a fan, but I got a sunburn. (That was me trying to bring a little Owl City into this story.)

Overall, the concert was great, but the fans are crazy! It's all good because:

FAME Movie Premiere

The movie hits theatres in 2 days!

The premiere was held today at the Grove in Los Angeles.

Before hand, we just walked around and shopped. I spotted Olesya Rulin.

Saw the guys just as they were about to hit the red carpet.

The red carpet was set up in the grass area between the fountain and the stage. I didn't really see. It wasn't your typical set up. The carpet was black, first of all. There wasn't a backdrop, just posters here and there. You can see fans gandering behind the celebrities.

I totally missed a JC opportunity! I had no idea.

I totally don't count this because they didn't walk the carpet together.

As we made our way to the stage, I see Chucky Klapow.
Here's the thing: when I first watched "Getcha Head In the Game" in High School Musical, I took notice of number 44. He was really good [and cute!]. I learned his name. I learned that he was assistant choreographer. I learned that he attended my high school [he was voted best dancer!].
One day, senior year, he had visted a couple classes. My friends told me of this news. None of them knew who he was, or could even recall his name. But I knew, and I was tres triste that I didn't get to meet him.
And almost 3 years later, there he was :) I can cross him off my list of people to meet.
He asked what year we graduated. I should have said 1998 or whenever he had graduated. Dang it. haha.

They announced V Factory. I was surprised they were opening with "Get Up." This is a different set list, I thought. The song ended. They said their thank yous. And THAT WAS IT. LoL

That's right folks, one song. They weren't kidding when they said it'd be quick. I still love them, none the less.

No formal m&g after. They had to rush to the theatre to watch the movie. But Travis Garland was lingering around somewhere.

We ended the evening with a quick trip to New York and then a trolley ride around the grove.

V Factory/FAME

I arrived at Six Flags around 3:30. I had to park all the way at the end of the lot, near Scream. The tram came within 5 minutes, but it wasn't in service. So, I just walked.

The Six Flags website said the show was at the Golden Bear Theatre, but it was really at the Magic Moments Theatre.

Full house!

The show began with the FAME trailer.
Naturi Naughton performed the FAME theme song.
Asher, Kerington, Kay, and other cast members were in the house and greeted the audience.

The director of Fame, an E! newscaster, and CIARA were judges.

The finalists all performed to either "Fame" or "Out Here On My Own."

Dancer, Singer, Twirler, Singers, Beatboxer, Singers, Singer.

V Factory time!

They opened with "Lights, Camera, Action."
Asher didn't show us what he got. LOL

Next was "Fade."
I love that song.

Then, it was time for their second single "Get Up."
It's a fun song. Definitely pumped up the audience.

While they were catching their breath, the guys introduced themselves to the audience.

And of course, they closed the set with "Love Struck."

It was a great performance. They had a bunch of fans in the audience. I saw some posters. It was also well done with a proper stage and lights and everything.

Craig Louis won the Talent contest.

Outside, V Factory had a meet and greet.

Travis Garland came out to support.
Me - "Did you get taller?"
TG - "No. I'm still short."

I rode a couple of rides. The lines were short. You'd think: Saturday + Labor Day weekend = a lot of people. NOPE. Good for us, bad for business.

Walking around, it was really cool to see a bunch of people with V Factory shirts and merch. I'm totally ready for them be super famous already!

I'm gonna learn how to fly HIGH!

VF + The Tis

V Factory opened for Ashley Tisdale at the Grove. I arrived an saw a corner of V Factory fans. There, a band was giving out CDs of their song. I realized I recognized them. I went to high school with the singers. I couldn't have been more proud. I always thought they would be in a band. Electric Hearts -- look out for them, people!

The setlist:
1. Lights, Camera, Action

I love when they "show us what they got."
2. Fade !

3. These Are The Days
4. Love Struck

They didn't have a formal meet and greet after, they had to rush to the airport. They still tried to get in pictures with the fans. Michael Copon was there. I decided too late that I wanted a picture. He left before I could ask.

After they left, my dream of Wesley and Jared flashing back and dancing with Ashley perished. The new, brunette Ashley Tisdale performed a more rocking set. It was all new songs. That kind of bummed me because I never got the chance to see her perform the more pop songs from Headstrong. Still, I liked her new songs, especially "Masquerade." And, her bass player is hot!

Walmart Soundcheck

Team Jonas posted a contest for a special Jonas Brothers concert. The links in the email didn't work properly at first, but they eventually fixed the problem. I entered and was eager to go.

They said they'd announce the winners on Monday. I was on the TJ forum ALL DAY waiting. They didn't post the winners until Tuesday. Guess awhat! My name was on the winners list! My first win on Team Jonas!

We found out it was the taping for their Walmart Soundcheck. Grace and I got to the El Rey around 11. We read the Seventeen magazine (JB cover), while we waited in line. We got wristbands and were let in around 2:30.

It was a relatively small venue. The parents got to stay and hang out in the back and on the side with the smaller children. Grace and I were by the center camera man.

A fan introduced them. They opened with "SOS." Next, they sang a new song called "Poison Ivy." When it was the chorus, everyone was singing along. I felt like such a failure as a Jonas Brothers fan. I had no idea how they all knew this song, but by the end, we were able sing along, too. "Lovebug" was next.

The crew needed a little time to make technical adjustments. Nick started playing "Year 3000" while we waited. They resumed with "Paranoid," a new song I did know. Then, they sang a song called "Turn Right." Kevin was on the keyboard. I was really trying to listen, and it was such a beautiful song.I felt like crying. We used our ticket info print out and sharpies to create a sign that said "KEVIN!" He saw it and waved at us! Score!

Finally, they closed with "Burning Up."

After, people were ripping the posters off the wall. This was unnecessary because they were giving away the posters outside. We also got stickers. This justified my Team Jonas membership for the year!

VFC Concert/TCA Pre Party

We finally got to meet Laura from the V Factory So Cal Street Team, along with her sister. We also met Kelley, Lisa, and Alissa. Their posters were quite BEAUTIFUL. They worked really hard!!

I arrived at Hollywood/Highland a little after 3. My friends were there since 12 and got to see VFC and the Clique Girls soundcheck.

The concert started and the Clique Girls were so good! They have powerful voices for 11-year-olds! One of them looks like Selena Gomez with blonde hair. Their harmonies are awesome.

Varsity Fanclub came out and performed after. They were quite awesome. They danced in the HOT and BRIGHT sun, while they sang their hearts out. At one point, the batteries in David's mic died. Drew slickly traded with him. At least we were sure, now, that they were singing live!

They were almost finished performing "Lost and Found" when SUDDENLY, the SOUND CUTS OUT. No mics, no background music. They were very professional, and finished the song. We couldn't hear, but we could see them dance.

While they equipment was being fixed, VFC stalled with a little Q&A. After a few more songs, they finally performed "Future Love."

They were going to have a meet and greet after the concert, but they had to change first. As we were waiting, I noticed the Teen Choice Awards Pre-Party red carpet had begun, and I see this guy. Mind you, the pre party was at Level 3, we were on level one. So, I'm looking up and I can only see his back, but I start FREAKING OUT. I pull Grace, and we RUN up the stairs. It was JC CHASEZ from NSYNC! Oh my gosh!!!! 10 years. It's been 10 years-- one-zero--but I still love him! We made it up there and were able to say hi. It was INCREDIBLE.
10-year dream coming true
We decided to forget about the VFC meet and greet and stayed at the red carpet. It was cool until they kicked out everyone but media. Varsity Fanclub went on the red carpet too! They liked hat. We got cool videos from Danny Noriega from American Idol

and Megan Jette Martin from Camp Rock! She kindly did the "Whatever, major loser" thing and the "Too Cool" shoulder move for us!

Jordin Francis and Roshan Fegan were there too! We got a picture with Jordin and kept calling out "Ro! from the Ro and Co show!"

Lauren and Lo from the Hills walked right past us!

After all of the craziness, we ate at uWink. It is such a cool restaurant, very high tech. You order on the touch-screen computer and you can play games while you eat! It's also easy to pay individually.

Grace and I took pictures with VFC's colorful mic stands before we parted ways. I saw Cole and Dylan Sprouse as I exited the parking structure.

American Music Awards

First of all, 2007 is the best year ever. It just is.

Yes, I should be completeing my English essay, which was given 3 weeks ago and I only started yesterday, and it's due at 9am tomorrow, but NO. I'm going to write about my awesome weekend.

Thursday
I'm checking out jonasbrothersfan.com for all my JB updates. They posted something about participating in JB's performance at the AMAs. All you needed to do was email the street team with you name, age, phone number, and email. I entered. What the heck? It was simple enough. I knew I probably wouldn't get it and I had class anyway. That was about 2-3pm.

I get called into work and got off at 9pm. I get home at 9:30. I watch Grey's Anatomy and go to my room around 10. When I check my email, there was a new update from the Jonas Brothers asking us to resend our info with a photo to a different email address by 9pm. Crackers!! It was too late! I sent the update anyway.

They said they would announce the winners by midnight. I wait. 12am - no email. 12:15 - still nothing. 12:30 - I see comments from girls that did get chosen. *Sigh* oh well.

I watched some more TV. 1am - I refresh my inbox before I decide to shut down. There was one new email. OH MY GOSH. I just stared at it for a second in SHOCK.

I read it. Wow. WOW! I was one of 80 chosen out of thousands! I organize my thoughts, make sure it's practical for me to skip class and do this. YES it is! I wake up my mom. She's didn't fully wake up and comprehend the situation. I left before she could say no.

Friday
In the morning, she's debating whether or not to let me go. I mean, this was once in a lifetime, but would require me to drive to Downtown L.A. by myself. She permits me to go!

I stopped by school first to drop off assignments, you know, the responible thing to do. I took side streets all the way to Nokia LA Live. I made it alive!

We checked in, got wristbands, and then sat for about 3 hours. Someone saw them when they went to the restroom. My excitement elevated. They were really here!

They lined us girls in the the aisles. We practiced running over to the pit. The Jonas Brothers came out and performed. They were seriously 2 feet in front of me! Kevin's a winker ;] Joe is so cute. Nick.. didn't move. Haha. He was on the other side, so I didn't see him much.

This was a rehearsal, but they gave it their all each time. Yes, it was the same song performed 3 times in a row, but I love "SOS," and I love watching them perform!

They gave us the information about Sunday and parking passes. I said I was only going to do this rehearsal, but I really wanted to go Sunday now!

I kept my wristband on all weekend and decided that I really wanted to go to the awards. My mom and brother drove me. They were only supposed to drop me off, but they ended up staying the whole day.

Sunday
We arrived at the shrine around 8am. We lined up and buses came around 11ish to shuttle us to the Nokia. We did one quick run, but this time, the girls weren't playing nice. While we were running, a girl tripped and there was a domino effect. I fell too. Once I got up, the stage manager pulled me aside and didn't let me go until everyone else went first. I was in the back. There were girls up on stage with the boys. It was chaos.

Across the street, at the Staples Center, there were a bunch of girls waiting to see the JoBros on the red carpet. They were there since like 7am. Wow. I hope they got to see them.

We waited some more. They told us 3. They meant 4. We saw NLT outside. Finally, we were waiting in the foyer. Parents and guests were given TICKETS to watch the award show. How crazy is that?

We waited in the lobby for about 40 minutes. Then, finally, it's time. They bring us in. We do our thing. It's exhilirating. Joe fell but the show went on. Kevin and Nick were so concerned for their brother. That's why Nick started late. and kevin kept watching over Joe. I touched Joe's hand. Other girls groped his ass lol.

You can see me on TV 45 seconds into their act (including their introduction). I wore green with glasses and and yellow headband!

After their amazing performance, I ran over to the first row where Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens were seated. I got their autographs and Jared Murillo said hi to me. We all got tickets to watch the award show too!

During a commercial break, I met my mom in the foyer to get my camera. We jumped up and down and squealed like little girls. It was a totally awesome moment ^_^ I went to the bathroom, but didn't make it back before the commercial ended. I had to wait until the next break to go back inside.

I'm just chillin, when all of a sudden, I see the Jonas Brothers coming down the hallway. I froze. My brain was like "Say something, idiot!!" I asked Joe if he was okay.
He replied,"Yeah, don't worry."
"You guys were amazing. Thank you so much for letting us do this!"
"No, thank YOU for being here."

They walked off. As soon as they did, I started shaking and fell to the floor. The people around asked if i was okay. I'm just like "Yeah... I just talked to the Jonas Brothers!" I follwed the direction they went. They went to the bathroom. Other girls were there waiting for them. They went straight to their seats after.

The award show was cool. The stars were all there, but I wasn't sitting close enough to see faces.

I was at the 2007 American Music Awards. My family got to go too. All of this happened because I'm a Jonas Brothers fan! Seriously, I love them! They were so good and nice!

I snagged a program and a tshirt.

I saw that I wasn't crazy. There are at least 80 other girls who act like me. Or maybe I'm just not alone in my Jonas crazyness.

All right. Essay time.

This was one of the best moments of my life =D

My mom was right when I was all crying about the Knitting Factory. "Better things will come," she told me. I didn't think it could get better than that. But I was wrong. Seriously, GOD is sooooo GOOD all the time.
